Wild Horse Connection takes in Horses and Burros removed from Storey County Property in Animal Abuse Investigation

On July 4, 2025, the Storey County Sheriff’s Office responded to a remote property in Storey County, NV, for a report of possible animal abuse. Deputies observed approximately 24 horses and burros in poor health. An investigation was immediately opened. Wild Horse Connection has stepped in to foster these animals until they can be adopted.
