About Us
Wild Horse Connection is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in response to the growing need for dedicated wild horse advocacy in the Reno area. Since our founding, we have continued to grow—driven by the unwavering support of our passionate community.
We are committed to protecting and preserving America’s wild mustangs, a living symbol of our national heritage. Our devoted volunteers serve as their voice, working tirelessly to safeguard their freedom and ensure their survival in the face of ongoing threats.
Community awareness and cooperation are essential to protecting our wild horses. Our primary goal is to keep these iconic animals safe in their natural habitat—and out of residential neighborhoods where they may face harm. While feeding wild horses may seem kind, it is both illegal and extremely dangerous. Familiarity with humans and vehicles can lead horses into unsafe situations, ultimately putting their lives at risk.
At Wild Horse Connection, we are committed to the well-being of every wild horse on the Virginia Range. Our team works tirelessly to ensure they remain healthy, protected, and free in the hills where they belong. If you have questions or concerns, we’re just a phone call away—ready to help you support the protection of these national treasures.
